Country Wedding & Portrait Sesh

Vintage lake-side romance makes me think of teenagers falling in love in the summer (a la notebook) - the canoe, the dock, the countryside... it's all terribly romantic. This couple is all about the sense of nostalgia - from her cute vintage dress to the soft colours picked up from the landscape, this shoot really is timeless.

From the photographer, Margaret Belanger:
Anne and Tim got married on a gorgeous early summer day in Vermont at the Mountain Top Inn & Resort. The only people in attendance were Anne's mother, her aunt, and Tim's parents - and of course, Anne and Tim's dogs Banjo and Chester. Every little detail of the wedding was important! Anne wore her aunt's high school graduation dress as her wedding dress. She knit little birds and the nest that held their wedding bands. She made the glad banner that decorated the chateau they stayed in. She made th table runner out of antique fabric and embroidered her and Tim's initials and wedding date on it. She even made their wedding invitations! I'm sure there are a million other details that I'm leaving out. It was all so gorgeous! IT was such an honor to be there to share in their day. Since there weren't hundreds of guests to contend with, it meant that we had plenty of time to take portraits. At the end of it all, they shared a really lovely intimate dinner with their families. It was such a wonderful way to celebrate their marriage!
